The Secret Path Film Screening
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, originally and still colloquially known as Orange Shirt Day, is a Canadian holiday to recognize the legacy of the Canadian Indian residential school system. It takes place on September 30th.
Join DART at the Library for a film screening of The Secret Path, an animated film about the true story of Chanie Wenjack, a young boy who died in 1966 while trying to escape the Cecilia Jeffrey Indian Residential School.
Donations will be accepted during the event. All donations will go to the Indigenous Solidarity and Awareness Network (ISAN).
